Paying your interest

For Fixed Rate, (also called ‘Fixed Term’), Instant Access, and Notice accounts, interest is calculated daily. But the frequency of when interest is paid will vary by savings account.

You’ll find more information in the terms and conditions of each savings account when you log in to the platform.

How Flagstone

makes money

For each account you open with our bank partners through Flagstone, we receive a small share of the interest. We deduct that share before we feature any account on our platform – so the rate you see will always be the rate you receive.

We don’t charge admin, management, or platform fees.

What are two-year Fixed Rate savings accounts?

Two-year Fixed Rate accounts lock your money for two years in exchange for comparatively high, predictable interest rates. You know exactly what you’ll earn from day one.

These accounts generally require a lump sum deposit, and once you deposit your funds, you won’t be able to access them until two years have passed.

Should I fix my savings for two years?

It depends on your circumstances and financial goals. A two-year Fixed Rate savings account is a medium-term savings option that lets you earn high interest on your money, without tying it up for too long.

They can be a valuable addition to your portfolio when paired with easy access options, like Flagstone’s Instant Access savings accounts, and longer-term accounts like five-year Fixed Rate savings accounts.

Can I open more than one Fixed Rate account?

Yes. There’s no limit to the number of Fixed Rate savings  accounts you can open.

With Flagstone, you can easily manage all your accounts from a single login.
